Your Instructor

The Owner and Sole Instructor at Galway Motorcycle School is Gabriel Folan. Gabriel has 30 years experience driving motorcycles and has been trained to the highest standard during his service in An Gárda Siochana.

Gabriel holds a number of motorcycling and instructional qualifications. These qualifications include:

 

• Road Safety Authority - Approved Driving Instructor, Reg. # F34418. The Road Safety Authority (RSA) is the national body assigned with responsibility for improving road safety in Ireland. Only instructors who are approved by the RSA may give instruction on a commercial basis.
• Road Safety Authority – Approved Initial Basic Training (IBT) Provider. From 6 December 2010 all Motorcyclists who receive their first Learner Permit are legally required to do Initial Basic Training (IBT).
• Holder of Gold Grade in Advanced Riding with the English based Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). RoSPA are one of the premier safety organisations in the world. Their qualifications are recognised, coveted and highly respected world wide.
• FETAC Level 6.  Train the Trainer, awarded with Distinction.
